Coco borking right now.
Her routine is all messed up because she went and got groomed today. But, she looks SO MUCH BETTER. It was worth it. I think she’s barking right now because she wants to dig on the sheets. We’ll see.
Another solid day, you guys. I can’t say I got a ton of work done on my outline. Sigh. I could have pushed more on that…but I was tired this morning. So I kinda putzed around a bit. Still had a couple great ideas, though. Not sure whether they’re ideas for this story or the next, but they were fun to consider nonetheless.
Turns out Coco was having some trouble moving he back legs like she wanted. It’s the second time I’ve seen that happen in the past…three days. Makes me nervous. Her back legs just kind of give out a bit, and she struggles to get them right. It’s something we’ll have to watch.
So stressful having an elderly pup, you guys. They can’t tell you how they’re feeling. You have to watch closely, monitor their behavior. It’s tricky, because the more attention you pay to them, the more that attention changes their behavior, because you’re stressing them out. But…I do think Coco’s okay. I think her back legs are weak, but I don’t think anything neurological has happened. I just think she’s weak.
She still wants to move. She wants to walk. She wants to do things. That’s not indicative of a dog in pain.
Now, she sleeping. We gave her sleepy time meds about an hour ago. They’re hitting. Sweet dreams m’lady.
Coops, meanwhile, has actually been really good with her. Just kind of avoids her, really. Doesn’t try to go and patrol her. He’s been great. Thankful for that.
Kitties are great! Snacks learned today that he get get the lickie treats straight from my hand. That was really cool. He’s getting older now; it’ll be harder and harder to socialize him…but I still think there’s enough time to train into being a pretty human-friendly cat. We’ll see. He’s so cute.
Lots of animal thoughts tonight. It was an animal day…with a bunch of work mixed in. I worked till 7. Whew. By choice, though. The project I’m on needed some extra hours put in to get back to speed, and I was happy to give them.
