Actually got my ass up early this morning and wrote for two hours before we headed over to the Kings to figure out what the week was going to look like transportation-wise. I’ll pitch in by taking Mira to her rehearsal on Tuesday, and Liz will handle picking up the kids a couple other days. It’s easy because we live pretty close to their school, which is up in the hills.

Got to meet Ali and Liz’s new pup Rooster today. He was SO. CUTE. Little fearful, little too intense for Joy…but overall very gentle and very, very sweet. I’m so happy for them. He’s perfect. And SO PRETTY.

Coops was good today as well. Liz and talked about how the key for Cooper to not be such an asshole is just not to get so activated during the day. When his energy level is kept down, he’s fine. He doesn’t try to patrol or dominate so much. We also kept them separate whenever Joy was being energetic. Seemed to work fine. It’s not exactly fixing the issue as far as Cooper is concerned, but it is avoiding the worst of it, at the very least, and she’s still just so young. I think once she’s bigger it will feel less threatening. Not that Cooper ever actually bites hard enough to hurt anyone—he doesn’t; never has—but in a tussle like that, someone can get hurt just on accident, and we don’t want that.

Feel better this evening. Hoping that this morning’s decent session will lead to a solid week of outlining, and then another next week. I want to get this story down on paper, man, and if I just put in the fucking time, it will get there. I’m even going to schedule in sessions outside of the normal stuff just because I know this week will be wacky in a couple places.

Wish me luck. Night night.
