It’s late! Past bed time, in fact. As it usually is on a Friday night after podcasting.
Really fun one tonight. Not so much the film itself, but watching it together, discussing the storytelling, what worked and what didn’t. It’s fascinating to watch a director find their voice and what it is they do well…and don’t do well. Hitchcock and comedy: probably not a great mix. I mean, it’s early. We’ll see. Maybe he has some comedies ahead. But it’s certainly not what he became known for as the “master of suspense.” …and that’s fascinating.
