Day one of the new OmniFocus reality. I did good with it. Real test, however, will be if I stick with it when the whole thing goes sideways, which is bound to happen sooner or later—the stretches where the schedule has to go out the window for a week or two because work or life got hectic. That will be the true test!

I have holes in my rough outline for book 5, and I need to plug them before I move onto the detailed outline. Sigh. It takes so much brainpower to come up with that shit. It’s hard to sit down and do it and not just be distracted the whole time. But…I caaaannnn do it. It’s just…hard. Always hard. Every time. But, I got this.

Pups are perfect. Bear is happy. We realized we hadn’t watched the most recent season of Alone, so we started that tonight. Always fun.

About a quarter of the way into my new audible scifi listen: Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It’s fun. The scifi concept of it is very clear. Not sure if it’s going to be totally my bag, but we’ll see. It’s very…technically correct, I think, but I’m not sure how compelling it is. There’s plenty of action, for sure, but I haven’t fallen in love with any of the characters yet. Still time! Plenty of it. Maybe too much, in fact, given the story’s already spanned a couple thousand years. Such are the scales of the cosmic, which is fun in its own right, certainly…but can complicate things when it comes to rooting for someone in the story. We’ll see. It’s certainly been interesting so far.

And that’s what I’ve got for you tonight. Night night!
