Got to watch the Australian Grand Prix live! Lin—Liz’s dad, who’s a huge racing fan—texted right as the race was starting and asked if we were watching. Well, we just so happened to be on the couch, and we tuned in and caught up from the little bit we’d missed to that point. It was a great race! Verstappen was out early with mechanical problems, so it was wide open who was going to win. It ended up being Ferrari one-two, Carlos and then Leclerc, and Norris took third for McLaren. So satisfying to have it be close. Loved it.

Coops went and saw the vet today for his eye, which has been having some discharge from what they think is a swollen gland. We got some eye drops for him, and he’ll take those for the next couple weeks. AND we had them just do a checkup on his ear, and there was still some yeast cells down there, so they gave us some ear drops to give to him to wipe the rest of that out, too. Other than that, he’s a healthy pup 🙂

And then, otherwise…it was just kind of a lazy day. We took it easy. Took a nap. It rained for the first half of the day, and then cleared up and was sunny, but windy for the rest of the day. A cool one. Now, it’s calm and cold. We have our patio door open with the fan running to cool the bedroom down. It’s lovely. Truly. This is what I dreamed of when buying this house. Tonight, right now, before bed, laying next to my love, surrounded by the dogs, door open to the cool night air…it’s a dream come true. I’m so lucky. These are the good days.

Night night, kids.
