What are my biggest challenges?

Getting up in the morning is one of them. I’m decent at it, to be clear…but it is a CHALLENGE every. Single. Day. I’m not joking about that. It’s truly a challenge. That’s a weak point for me when it comes to resistance—if I don’t get up on time, I rarely, rarely, almost never get my writing done. It railroads my entire day. So, of course, that’s how resistance most often tries to get me.

That’s probably not the spirit of this question, but that’s a very real-life, practical, down to earth answer. Getting up on time gets books written. Getting up late makes sure I don’t.

Speaking of…

Making sure I’m going to bed on time tonight. I wouldn’t be surprised if its hard for me to fall asleep because I so need to get back into the right rhythm, at least for this week I have before we go out to Hawaii. Halfway through the outline is what I’m aiming for. I can do it!

Joy is better. She’s fine, in fact. No lingering ill effects whatsoever.

We have Tommen again! We have him for the next four days. Excited about it. He’s so comfortable at our house, now. I remember when we first started watching him, like, five or six years ago, he was SO NERVOUS at first. He’d shake for hours after being dropped off before finally calming down and settling in. Now, lol, as soon as they walk out the door, he’s looking for a toy to play with or going onto the bed for a snooze. Ha! Sweetie.

We watched Late Night with the Devil tonight, and y’all…it was soooo baaaadddd. And not in a fun way. In a very unintentional way. It felt like community theatre trying to scare me. I was so disappointed because I thought it was supposed to be good. Sigh.

But then we watched Beyoncé Bowl as a palate cleanser. I genuinely think she might be the best live performer of all time. Certainly of our generation.

Night night.
