It is…so hard to breathe carefully and not cough before going to bed. That’s what I’m laying here struggling with at the moment. Just took some cough meds that will hopefully aid that struggle but damn. All my chest wants to do is cough. But if I start, it’s a vicious cycle: the more I cough, the more inflamed it all gets, and the more I will continue to cough.
I hope it goes away soon. We’ll see.
Still very much under the weather. I suspect I will be for at least the rest of the weekend. I hope that’s all. Still bouts of low-grade fever, which means the infection battle is still going.
Tedious talk. No one wants to hear about someone else’s illness. Sigh. When you’re sick, though, it’s all you want to talk about because it’s all you ever think about.
Coops’ update is that he was totally normal today. I did not observe any instances of him looking out of sorts. So, thank dog for that. Work was also very quiet, and thank dog for that, too. I was able to rest.
Dubs won versus the Nuggets. Handily, too, which I was not expecting. They’ve done that twice now, back to back, with last night’s victory over the Lakers, which was closer in score, but similarly dominant and decisive. The Nuggs were without Jamal Murray, but we were on a back to back concluding a *14* *day* road trip and only separated by a single game in the standings—which is to say both teams really really wanted to win this game—so I think those two things cancel each other out.
Huge win. We might be legit. Still too hard to say for sure, gotta see how the postseason actually plays out…but I think we are. I think, if we stay healthy, we will win Steph a fifth ring. Wouldn’t that be nice?
Also stayed up to watch the Japan GP Qualifying. Yuki took P14, which is a big disappointment considering how much stronger than that he’d looked during practice and even earlier during qualifying. He was well up into the top 10 with every lap he’d put in up to that point. Sigh. Hamilton also struggled in the end. But there might be rain tomorrow, which could mix things up and leave room for a little strategy trickery. We’ll see.
A ricola lozenge is helping right now with that urge to cough.
Night night.
