I’m all thumbs tonight because Joy has decided I am her pillow and she’s not moving. She’s currently on her back, belly up, in the position we like to call “rotisserie chicken,” because that’s what it looks like. She’s such a snug.
Today felt like the first normal day I’ve had in quite some time. Morning was normal, got my writing done, we walked the pups; work was good, I got done what I needed to quickly, read my Shakespeare; lunch was good, helped Liz prep for her in-person audition and we had plenty of time to do that; then work was slow in the afternoon so I snuck in a quick nap which is the first time I’ve done that in weeks; evening writing was good, if slightly cut short by getting to talk to Cal and Scott for a bit; walked pups, ate dinner, and then had a bit of wine and read some more of Henry IV Part 2, which I’ve needed to catch up on.
Like…that’s pretty much my ideal day right there, and I usually get that day, just not lately. Felt good.
Night night.
