The world is dripping. We have the sliding door to our bedroom open still and the rain has tailed off to just drips, like surround sound, coming from everywhere. It’s one of my favorite sounds, the drip drip drip after a rain. It makes me think of the forest. If the trees are big enough, that’s all you get in a windless rain storm is the drip drip drip. If it’s windy, obviously, that’s what you hear. But when it’s still it’s like this, which is why this feels like a summer rain. Mild. Warm. Still.
Another busy day. Gonna be a theme this week. But I got more pages done, more reading, therapy, digging…and Coops is bouncing back. Definitely feeling more himself because he’s acting more himself. Quite upset tonight to not get his dental chew, but he can’t have that for another week and a half. Poor bubs.
Back at it tomorrow. Oh! Just have to say what a reviving, cozy, wonderful thing a good glass of wine is. I’d tried a new bottle the other night of a recommended producer and it was so disappointing. But I used the Coravin for a glass tonight from a bottle I know I love…and what a difference. Bliss. Made the evening. Made it feel special.
Night night.
