It’s Couchella season! I don’t know if you knew this, but each year, Coachella streams (most) of its stages live on YouTube for free, over both weekends. It’s become a tradition in our household to watch from our couch, sound system turned up, boppin to the music. This year has been no exception. Standout so far: Nine Inch Noize, which is NIN plus Boys Noize. They were AWESOME. It was a performance, like, for real.
The parking spot is done! My goodness. I am freaking wiped because of it. But it’s done. The plastic pavers went down and then I filled it all in with pea gravel and it looks and feels exactly how I wanted it my god I want to cry. It’s exactly what I wanted. That’s how you do it. Now I know. Compactable base. Permeable plastic pavers. Fill with the nice gravel on top. Or…at least I hope I’ve done it all right, now. We’ll see. Pretty sure I have, though. It feels right. Never felt right before.
We got the dogs’ portraits done today for our holiday card. Last year’s theme was “Sister Sister” from White Christmas. This theme is…a secret. But it’s awesome. And the pups did so so well. Very proud of them. Coops even did this look-over-the-shoulder pose which is nigh impossible to get a dog to do, and he did it. Like a champ. He had a little sore on his bottom eyelid last night, too, and that’s already seemed to heal up and get better.
In the book I’m reading about the yellowstone wolves, I’ve learned the term “bedded down,” which means when they’re curled up and going to sleep. That’s what all the pups are right now on the bed. Bedded down. Big sigh just now from Tommen.
Wrexham won. I worked on the finances. …and now here we are. That was my day. A busy one. Going to try and take it easy tomorrow. Night night.
