I didn’t get six pages today, but I did realize a scene needed to go differently. A character needs to make a different choice. So, that was nice. It was just a reminder to always, always trust my gut. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t write it. Come up with something better. Something right.
We got to hang with Liz and Ali later in the morning for brunch/lunch. We went back to the Thai market over in NoHo and it was goddamn delicious. Both things we got this time were amazing. And catching up with those two was truly amazing. I enjoy their company so much.
Pups are good. Joy just snuggled up underneath the covers. Coops is out in the living room with Liz. She’s staying up a bit late to give Joy her gaba for the night, which is very kind of her. It allows me to go to sleep on time, and then I can get up early and give Joy her morning meds. She should only need them for another few days, I think. She gets a checkup on Tuesday, so they’ll let us know then how her stitches and all that look. Joy reeaaalllyyy wanted to play tug of war today, which is one of her favorite games, but we aren’t allowed to do that yet. Not until she’s fully healed. Poor babe. But she’s clearly feeling almost back to normal, if not completely back to normal.
Read my Shakespeare. Got to catch up with Alastair, who’s back in town for a couple days…watched Angel City FC lose to San Diego, sigh. All my teams been losing lately, except for the Valkyries who won their opener. They play again tomorrow, which I’m looking forward to watching, if possible. I think we might be pretty good this year. We’ll see how we fare against the top teams, though, for sure. I think we still need a super star.
It was warm. Helped Liz with an audition that she did really well on. Took a dope-ass nap.
Good day. Night night.
