Joy is acting normally again. What a relief! She has to wear a cone still because she wants to lick where her IV’s (yes, plural ) were put in, and she has to eat a special diet for the next week or so…but she’s otherwise very much into her normal routine. I can’t tell you have good that is to have again. I rely on it. My day, in so many ways big and small revolves around her (and Coops). It was really, really hard to suddenly be missing it while she was sick and then at the hospital.

She did get up at 4am to go pee…but given how normally she acted today, I think that was probably just because her schedule got all out of whack at the hospital. Hopefully she sleeps normally tonight. But no vomiting, no urgent BMs, appetite was super duper strong, and she was her playful, normal self. Whew.

Got writing done, too. Not as much as I hoped, but enough. Back at it tomorrow.

Night night.

Oh! Edit to add: I was taking the pups out to go potty tonight…and I realized the cabin light was on in my car. Wtf??? Haven’t driven it since Sunday. Or…Saturday, actually. Was someone in there? Or had someone been? I checked tonight’s camera log before going to check on it, just to be sure I wasn’t stepping into danger. Nope. No one on the cameras. So, I went to check…locked. Open it, nothing disturbed inside. So. Damn. I left the light on somehow. The passenger light, which I have absolutely no explanation for. And for days. Will my car even start? It did. Whew. But I also know that I’ll need to drive it around for a while if there’s any chance to save the battery. So, we did, on the highway, for about a half hour.

We’ll see if the battery survives. Wild. Not a clue how I’d have possibly turned that light on. I must have bumped it dropping Joy off at the hospital and not realized it.
