For the first time, I’m a #1 Bestseller. It’s in a couple very specific categories on Amazon, to be clear, but still, I’ve never been the top seller before in anything. Close, but not all the way to number one. So, yeah. It’s a good day.

We had a Bookbub featured deal today. I don’t know if having one on a Sunday is a good thing or not, but here we are. It seems to be doing alright. I think we’ll probably sell around…400 books today? 500, maybe? Not bad for a book that’s almost five years old.

I got up and did my writing. That continues to go well. I need to push a little harder this week, but I can do it. The story is getting close, truly. I almost have all the pieces. It’s tough, because I’m realizing with this book how important it is to me to be true to the genre. I’ve had a few fun ideas, but I’ve ultimately decided to discard them because they’re not quite right for this specific series. But I’m getting there. Just need to keep pushing.

I went and saw Wolfie after that. We had a great time together. We played Mario Odyssey. Oh! And my Switch is a bit on the fritz at the moment. It won’t correctly read the battery level. But, looking it up online, this appears to be a fairly common problem with a very easy fix. We need to let it drain, charge it all the way back up after that, then let it drain again, charge it up…do that a few times and it should correct the issue. The battery itself seems to be fine, which is the biggest deal.

But it was really nice seeing Wolfie. We hadn’t had a hang in a few weeks because he’d been busy and so had we. So, that was really nice. We made sure he had clothes for graduation. We took Sunny for a walk together. It was warm. A really good hang.

Epic nap after that. Needed it. Did some work, a little catch up before Monday for Netflix. Finished Much Ado About Nothing. Really enjoyed that play. It’s one of his strongest. He took the “swear off women and love” idea from Love’s Labours Lost and executed it much better the second time around. That’s 18 books I’ve read so far this year. A record, I think! I don’t think I’m on pace for 48 books, but we’ll see. Maybe 40. I think my goal was…36? So, I can do that. But, ultimately, I think four books a month is actually quite reachable. That would make me very happy.

Night night.
