In the end, Klute fizzled a bit. Not a ton. Genuinely. But a little bit. Not the punch of The Parallax View, which is obviously a very different film, but I was still expecting a bit more in the end. They started to lose me as they fell in love, to be honest, since actually saving the prostitute doesn’t play anymore, and at the end of the day, that was THE pillar this movie stood upon. But I still really enjoyed it. Pakula was definitely doing things. The first third or so especially. I was all in.

I started The Conversation at lunch. Watched a bit more during dinner. Interesting so far. I also get a similar feeling from this one as Klute. Doing some things. Not quite sure it’s going to work, though. We’ll see. It’s not considered one of Francis’ best so far as I know, so…we’ll see.

The outlining continues. Decent day. Not gangbusters, but decent. It’s an adventure, which I love. Need to keep the pace up. In bed right on time so I can have a killer day tomorrow. Wish me luck.
