It’s go-time.
I spent the day with Wolfie today. He wanted to see me before school, and he needed to get some clothes, so we did that. He’s got some stuff, I think. I hope. Seventh grade. It’s a big step up. Things change in seventh. They change in sixth, too, but it accelerates in seventh. I wish him luck. It’s a wild time. Not all bad. But mostly just exceeding levels of awkward.
Tommen is with us. He’s such a good boy. His legs are so much better, which is a relief to see. We’re militant about not letting him jump anywhere in the house. I put a matt down on the floor in the guest room to take nap rather than pulling the murphy bed down, just because there wasn’t a way to make sure he did jump on or off that bed like we have in our main bed.
Why would I take a nap in the guest room, you might wonder? Well…we only cool the main part of the house during these summer months to help with the electrical bill. That means our main bedroom area gets HOT. So…if either of us have time for a nap, we do it in the guest room.
Wiped. Zonked. I was expecting to get writing done this weekend, but that’s not how it turned out. I did some. But…that means this week has to, has to be gangbusters. Already, I’m a week behind schedule. This week will make me two. Sigh. But I can do it. Just need to keeeeeep pushing.
Night night.
