Back to drafting today. I have to do both, now, outline and write. At the same time. That’s just where we’re at. Le sigh. I’ll get there, though. I will. Such a grind at the moment, but that’s how flour gets made, y’all, and there’s no bread without flower.
Liz made the most incredible sourdough loaf the other day. I ate the last of it yesterday with butter. It was so soft. So tasty. She’s really, really good at it. Feeds her starter every day and everything. Amazing.
I like drafting so much. It’s by far my favorite part. By far. I can’t wait to give the writing and outlining at the same time another crack at it once this book is done and I’ve started the next one. This time around, I’m going to have a major advantage: I’ll be outlining the next book that’s up for pre-order. Ie- nothing standing in between me and the hard deadline. That’s good. I do use deadlines to make sure I get stuff done, but what I’m doing right now is far too crunched. Far too stressful. Sigh. But…I will get it done.
Getting to bed early tonight. Love that. Looking for a banner day tomorrow. I have therapy, so it probably won’t be, but that’s okay. I’ll push as hard as I can to get a ton done early, and then the second half of the day can be more chill. That’s a winning formula.
Got my teeth cleaned. They think I need to get my bottom teeth less crowded, but Liz thinks I should get a second opinion on how helpful that will be to stave off stuff like bone loss. We’ll see. I do have a filling that fell out, apparently, so I have to get that done.
Wrexham started their season today. They were up 1-0 until literally the last play of the game, a free kick just outside the penalty box that went in to tie it up. Sigh. Better than a loss, for sure, but they should have taken the win and all three points on the road. They did not. Help, surely, is on the way. A striker and a badass midfielder. Get it done, boys!
Night night.
