Bed late because it was Wolfie’s birthday tonight. We did armenian food, which was delicious! We did the feast pre fixe menu, and a feast it was. SO MUCH FOOD. My goodness. I ate my fair share, but there was so much left afterwards.

We did flan back at home, and then presents, where Wolf made out like a bandit. We got him a complete guide to Tears of the Kingdom, and I think he liked it. He wanted to stop right there and read, so I took that as a good sign.

He’s a good kid. And a good family. They really love each other, those kids. Get on each other’s nerves, obviously, but really care for each other and do their best to make sure they feel special and supported. We all missed Cat, especially. Birthdays were very much her specialty. It’s a void the rest of us can’t fill, obviously. But it was nonetheless a special day together. And the last birthday of his like that. Mir will be going to college this time next year, out of the house. Other birthdays will be special, certainly, but it will be different, as it already is different.

Night night.
